Wilkes’ small classes mean that instruction can be differentiated to meet the needs of all students. For those who benefit from further support, we have a resource teacher.

The resource teacher meets with students individually once or twice a week and also supports learning within classrooms. Students receive support with a variety of skills, including phonics, reading comprehension, study strategies, and writing skills. The resource teacher also works with faculty members, implementing learning strategies and suggesting accommodations as necessary. Communication with parents about students’ progress occurs on a regular, ongoing basis.
